I did many sketches to position Yoshka and Stormy with each other, finally deciding that the cat looked very nice beneath. Yoshka’s owner told me how Yoshka and Stormy had a magnificent inter-species romance for years, playing together in perfect California days.

With some seasonal elements added (Yoshka looks great in a top hat), my husband and I used this image as our 2012 Christmas card. We often choose one of my recent paintings to accompany our holiday greetings.
