This illustration of a flexing robotic arm appeared in an annual report for Condec, owner of the pioneering robotics company Unimation. The technology here is dated, but I love the totality of the art.

I remember that when the art director told me I had to complete eight pieces of art in two weeks, I thought he was joking. He was not! It was always satisfying, though, especially at the end of a job, to work intensely for a spell and then take some weeks as a breather – and play amply with my children.
